Even though I have spent my primary career in accounting, finance and analytics, I have a thing for words.

I helped pay my way through college covering high school and college sports. That morphed into a freelance sideline composing columns on mobile entertainment and sports along with reporting on planning commission and city council meetings in addition to my full time engagement. More than 500 articles later, I am still writing.

I have composed—and voiced—more than 200 spots for KPOV, Central Oregon’s community radio station.

I scripted—and hosted—two High Desert Revue stage shows for KPOV, styled after the popular Prairie Home Companion. Sketches, mock advertisement spots, introductions, transitions—wrote ‘em all.

I created more than 75 sketches for the Around the Bend Players, satirizing life and its foibles on the High Desert and beyond.

I love the challenge of writing for different audiences, with difference purposes, for different mediums.

I love numbers. I love words. I have a major left and right brain thing going on.

I also love word play, the poetry and rhythm of words that flow together. Words that may not have previously been connected but, that in some strange universe, work well together. That has manifested itself in, amongst several areas, suggested names for musical artists.
